The wonders of Pulau Ketam...

Ah yes...again I have skip school, but this time for a reason..since there was a big comotion about Pulau Ketam(Crab Island).I wanted to check it out..It was all over the news when people found out that the Pulau Ketam people had sent all the dogs from Pulau Ketam to an unknown island near by.

There were no fresh water for the dogs..no food and no proper shelter for them to hide during rain or sun.The dogs than started to eat each other since there weren't any food for them. Now,some(good)people have sent rescue team to save this poor animals. Can you imagin if someone just sent you to an unknown island without food or water???

Well..here are the results I've collected for today..I woke up at 6a.m took a bus than a jetty to that island..it was about 1hour and 30 minutes all together..I seept when I was in the jetty...When i reach there..I was amazed..The place there was really clean..

The place was strickly forbiden for motorbikes...The only vehicle you can find there are bicycles..this is really true..only bikes!!And the best part was there wasn't any noise pollution..no smokes. The people there mainly depend on bicycles for their daily lives..If no bikes..walk lor...

There were quite a number of hotels and they were renting bicyclys..You can borrow them for RM 5 per bike, but I prefere walking..=)..I saw something that I always tried to catch when I was young...A mud skipper!!!xD..(never got one tought..)it was just along the bridge...really amazing how this fish can live on land ond water....=)

And if you just keep walking straight..you'll see a busy morning market in front of you..a small one tought because of the amount of people there... After passing throught the market that was full of people on their bicyclys..I came to a chinese temple..

Pulau Ketam was mainly chinese..I don't see and Indian or Malays there..so there were lots of this chinese temple..really well kept..there was even a place for chinese chess..

I admire the temple area..it was really quite..no loud noises..even the statue was clear from dust!!!

After spending a few minutes there..I continued walking..and the housing area was unique..everything was build on pillars to prevent the tieds from floding the houses..The street there was really clean and quite..everything was planted in pots because of the sea water..even jambu, ciku, hibiscus and mango trees was planted in different shapes and sizes of pots!!!Amazing!!!See..only bicycles....0.0...

Oh ya..that man there is my uncle from Australia..

This are the back lanes of the houses..quite clean too..I saw people cleaning up the streets this morning...

I ended up in a dead end..and I saw fishes..really really small fishes..it was hard to spot them at first..but once you get the hang of it..you'll have no problem spotting them=)..

Opposite me was another row of houses..you need to cross over a bridge to get to the other side.
The houses were very colourfull!!!There were pink houses..blue..green..lots of purple..really a colourfull area..0.0..cool..

The most horrifying part about this trip was the puppies around here...While walking on the plank..I saw a number of pup under me!!I was really scared that they might drown..but in the end I found a place where they could go in and out..so it's fine..but it was really a sad sight..

*please look at the pictures...*
There were about 5 of them all together..I hope someone will save them..(wish I could take all home...)I really felt pity for those puppies..they were looking up at me and making all sorts of sound that a puppy would probelly make..in about 2metres ahead I saw the most disgusting thing in the world....
Yes..the ugliest sight..rubbish..there were water bottles..cloth..milk tins..and many more..I hope one day I can make a cleaning campaingn to clean up the mess here..what a waste..such a beautiful and peacefull island..but..when you look down..it's different...really a disapointing sight..

While walking through the housing area...there were a few cats lingering around..one of the house owner offerd us into his house..really a kind man..The houses were simple and really big..it was cooling too..The man said that the cats here are not friendly..so i did not touch it..While walking..a dog started following us..0.0..i was like"Hey look!!!dog!!!"And the dog just liked my hands..cute one too..

It looks like it was smiling!!!xD..so friendly..

Close up!!!

Following my aunt and uncle..I think it has an owner..look at the stomac..I guess it went through a surgery...really cute...=).

While palying with the dog..a man told us that a temple near by has a big snake..and tortoise..I couldn't took a picture of the snake because the cage holes was really tiny..so can't see it much..but the tortoises were really well kept too..clean water..and they were really healty..

They was a pot of flower called"China Girl"it only smells at night..it has a vanilla essence..sweet and gentle...And a super hardworking bee going one flower to another..=)

After admiring the flowers,I went for a drink.(Wanted to go to toilet bad..so had to pretend I went there for a drink..>.<..)

This is the restaurant..just a simple one..there were many senior citizen just sitting in a coffee shop and just enjoying themselves with the rest.the drink was ok..and it was just to refresh us..

After that,I continued on my walk..I came across a bridge and decided to check it out a little more..

These are the pictures taken while I was walking across the narrowed little bridge.I was quite a nice view and yet again, you can hear bicycle bells ringing..until now it's still in my head..=.=..it goes*Ring Ring!!!!

After watching the boats moving here and there, it's time to move..it was about 10.30 a.m I guess..Didn't really care about the time much. While walking saw this cute little and nest...See it??It's all wrap up by some kinda silk tingy..couldn't really see because it was quite far away..I had to zoom in quite close to get this picture.

After about 50 metre I saw many Chinese temples...and some under renovating..It was really a beautiful temple..yet again..whenever there is a beautiful sight, there's always an ugly..there were lots of unwanted fish nets thrown under the temple and houses..and it trap many unwanted rubbish too..really a sad, ugly and smelly sight.

*sight....*look at the nets..fishes or turtles might get tangled in it if the nets are wash into the sea...

After walking half way..I couldn't stand the smell anymore..so we did a turn back..I went to a restaurant for lunch..and it was delicious!!!All the(sea)food that we ordered were really fresh...whoever who fancy sea foods..I suggest you should try the Deep Fried Praws..really tasty..and if your allergic to praws..it's ok!Than you should try the Deep Fried Squid.. really a mouth watering dish..Yum..=)...

During our lunch..we saw little kindergarten kids running. It was like a stamp peed!!Really adorable children..some were cycling home..there was one with training wheels on..xD..and the most touching one was when I saw a girl sharing her big umbrella with two of her other friends..There were some who even sent the friends home first..and then they'll make a U-turn back to their home..

I saw something that I wanted since I was really young..A wind wheel..Yes I know it's childish..but when the wind blows, the wind wheel just keep on turning..It's like no wind no movement..My aunt saw me staring at the wind wheel across the restaurant we were eating.

And so, she took out her money and ask me to buy one for myself..It was like something I was asking for years, and finally now I can have it!!After I bought it, wow..I was like a small kid again..swinging it front and backwards to get the wind...And then it was time to go back..

This is a picture of the bridge, once you get of the jetty you'll see a bridge straight a head...and the whole time I was walking..this is how narrow the road was all the way till the very end of the island!!!While waiting for the jetty I took a picture of Uncle Colin and my aunt.See my wind wheel??My aunt is a Malaysian, Uncle Colin is an Australian, but he's a Bahasa Melayu teacher in Australia, so he sometimes speaks to me in Bahasa Melayu or just his Aussie style English..(that is quite hard to understand..)

See the sing board about the bicycles??It says "NO MOTORBIKES OR BICYCLES ALLOWED"..but the whole island was filled with bicycles..=.=..don't really know why..and than came the jetty..And in I go..bye bye Pulau Ketam..T.T...

You can see my "Panda eyes.."=.=..really was tired..so wear my sun glasses and sleep!!!It was about 45minutes back..That's all..tataz.=)

Please feel free to:

-Tell me which part of the story did you like best.
-How did you feel after you saw those rubbish.
-How did you feel towards the dogs that was sent to an island without water of food.

When love hits you...

Ever felt how it's like when love hits you??When you fall in love with someone??My school had a talk a few days ago..it's was something about teenage love.

He told us that he had his first love when he was 7..and the girl was older than him..she would offend come to his house following her mother..since their mother were very close..but soon after that..they moved..

The most touching part was when he told us that he and his girlfriend had when to the beach(with a few friends) The girl was Chinese and the guy was Malay..but the families are very close.

On the third day of their beach holiday, the girl ask him to sleep with her in the same tent. So he did, when when she felt asleep...He just stared at her..his heart was beating really fast..and he told us that she wore a singlet that was quite sexy..and so he used his blanket to cover her.

The next morning, he went to pray. When he came back, she just woke up. She said that she had a fever..and took his hand and put it on her forehead...he said"I don't think you have a fever" and so she brings his hand to her chest.

He was shocked..he could feel her chest burning...and she quietly whispered...

Daniel(name has been changed), you have been the the greatest guy for me...you did not even touched me when we were sleeping together..if it would be another boy..it wouldn't be so calm..

As he look her in her eyes..there was a moment of silence...A few months past..as their love grew even greater..staying up all night..writing love letters..(it was really touching the way he told us)

After a few months..she one day confess...in a letter...

Dear Daniel,

It has been a wonderful time with you..(bla bla bla..long story..i can't remember the words..sorry)and at the end..she wrote..I'm getting married in 1 week to an unknown guy.It was set by my parents and his..I want to be with you forever!!!Please save me...

On the next day they meet..as soon as she saw him..she ran and hug him..tears started flowing..as she hugged him...she whispered.."Please help me..I love you and only you..."

He hugged her from the back and said...

"You should be happy that you are getting married..remember to always look at the bright side..I'm happy for you.."

On the day of her marriage..he just sat at the corner..smiling when she walked in...she was wearing a veil...no one could see her clearly..but only he can...he felt the pain and tears in her...a sad melody...a dropping moment..like everything in her life will be burn away by this marriage..

Even when he was smiling..he told us that in his heart, A little boy was crying and sobbing..as if his candy was taken away..

After a few months...He found out that the couple had split...even tough the husband was rich..She did not like him..-and so..i learned that money can't buy TRUE love..

After a few years past..he found a new love...(This time is a Malay woman)They started out like a small candle in the dark..lost in love but found a light, Then a bigger fire comes out..and finally turns into flames..
Flames that were bright and hot...

They got married after a few years..and until now..the small fire that was build..is getting bigger and bigger each day..It's most probably called..

Eternal Flames of Love...

After that speech I learnt that:

1. Age does not effect love..
2. You can't rush love into marriage...
3. Don't try to do anything stupid before you're married..
4. Money can't buy TRUE love..it's True feelings that will buy love...
5. What ever religion you are...love is still there...don't look at colours..but feeling for each other..
6. Always follow your heart..don't follow others...
